Easy 'Do-It-Yourself' installation. The Mongoose SG1100 is a wireless property security system packed with advanced features. Being wireless, installation is easy - almost anyone can install it within less than an hour.
Moving home? Just unscrew the siren and sensors off the wall and attach them to the new property. The heart of the SG1100 is the combined exterior siren, strobe light and control panel (SG01).
Being solar powered, it is completely wireless and has its own lead acid battery back-up. The remotes and detectors are coded directly to the exterior siren/control unit.
The unit can be powered separately from a 240v~12v adaptor (not supplied) if sunlight is a problem.

Arming and disarming is by remote control - just like a car alarm - there is no interior numbered keypad. Remotes and detectors are user selected code protected so that no one else can interfere with your alarm system.

* Exit the property, press the remote and the alarm is armed - the exterior siren gives one chirp to confirm

* Before entering the property, just press the remote and the exterior siren chirps 3 times to confirm disarm

Two detectors are included (1 x PIR, 1 x MDT), but you can add as many as you wish. PIR movement sensors detect movement over a large area, such as a lounge/kitchen, hallway etc.
Magnetic door/window detector (MDT) trigger the alarm when a door or window is actually opened. Usually fitted to front doors, garage doors, ranch sliders etc.
The SG1100 has 4 'zones' with 'zone 1' being the entry exit zone and allows you time to exit and enter your property before the alarm is activated. The other zones are 'instant.'
