CanBus (Controller Area Network Bussbar) is a balanced multiplex 2-wire interface  used as a communications network to control vehicle functions.

The CanBus wires only carry computer data, not the normal method of conducting electrical current.

Our products read the vehicle CanBus data via just two wires, CAN-HIGH and CAN-LOW, and allows your vehicles computer to control the our functions. As Canbus is a 2 way system, our products can also control some vehicle functions.

Fewer Connections - Because the CanBus communicates via the two wires with the vehicle, many features can be provided without any additional connections. This reduces the total number of connections that are required during installation and improves the products reliability as well as the installers efficiency because there are fewer points of failure.

CanBus equipped cars come with factory remote control of the central locking, so a CanBus security system is the logical choice as it interfaces perfectly - you just simply continue to use your car and remotes as before. What's more, if you lose the original remotes, or didn't come with the car, the MAP70R2 model is supplied with 2 remotes. Just check the prices of factory remote controls compared to our whole R2 system !

We computer programme each MAP70 for your specific vehicle, make, model and year of manufacure - it simply wont work on any vehicle - just yours !

The Exclusively Toyota products are manufactured to work on only Toyota's passenger vehicles. (Their light commercial vehicles should be adopting the canbus system during 2010)
